Dr. Stephen Eskeland was born and raised in New York, NY. He completed a seven-year program (Bachelor's and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees) at New York University in 1985. He also completed a general practice residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center before practicing for five years in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. In 1991, Dr. Eskeland moved to La Jolla and joined Regents Dental Group, which was founded in 1989 by Donald Dombrow, DDS. Dr. Eskeland purchased the practice from Dr. Dombrow in 1992.
Dr. Eskeland loves being given the opportunity to restore what was lost and to create smiles to last a lifetime! He also lectures and teaches other dentists how to place and restore implants.
Dr. Eskeland has been married to Lucy (an author of science books for children) for 34 years and has a son, Andrew, who's working in Escondido - helping conduct clinical trials for diabetic therapeutics and medical devices. When not in the office, Dr. Eskeland enjoys spending time with his family, backpacking, and hiking!.
